I did 16 “summer” designs.
“I chose my favorite one, then, what can I buy?” said Elif. This is it. As a made-to-order designer, I have nothing to sell in most cases. (should be more serious about it)

16の夏のデザイン。「で、なにを買えるの？」と核心を突かれて（売る物が無い！いつもそう！）作った特大アクリルピアス。夕日の夏が耳元で揺れる。

I made acrylic earrings with “sunset” summer design.

I came here to ask Martin (@lasern) for laser cutting. By the way the inside of this brick building complex is very much like the place where hacker Sabine lives in HOMELAND S05! maybe typical Berlin.

レーザー加工をお願いしたマーティンのスタジオは、このザ・ベルリンなレンガの一群の中に。デザイン関係のスタジオがたくさん入っていて、雰囲気はHOMELAND5でハッカーSabineがいた場所そのまんまな感じ：日本人には真似できぬカオス・ヒップ。

Interestingly enough, there is no pink colored acrylic in Germany. WHY?! I saw Martin’s eyes sparkling as he saw my pink one from Japan.

さて不思議なのはドイツにはピンク色のアクリル板が無いこと。ピンクだけが図ったように無い。理由不明。私が持ち込んだ日本のピンク板に食いついたマーティン、カットデータを一生懸命直してくれていい人だなあと覗き込んだら、余白を多めに作って自分用サンプルとして頂かれていた。

ホームセンターで見つけたこれ 直訳すると「ハリウッドブランコ」：正式なドイツ語
（最高）

Garden swing instead of a sofa!
The German’s one and only name for this is “Hollywoodschaukel”: Hollywood swing. Funny. I love this “floating” feeling of the swing..

Finding lovely private label brands at local supermarkets.
This is one of my favorite things to do when I travel. In Germany, I’d say I like “Ja!” by REWE, although not all of them, but the ones for household items with more simple design. like this matchbox in the center.

旅先での楽しみは、地元スーパーのイケてるＰＢ商品探し。ドイツではいまいちお気に入りが無く、唯一スーパーREWEの「Ja！」シリーズの雑貨周りがシンプルで好き。

This “Ja!” was featured in japanese design magazine [Casa BRUTUS]. Looks cheerful, ja? Maybe I should also make an alubum of my extreme favorite PLB, from swedish supermarket “ELDORADO”…

その「Ja！」がカーサで特集されたらば、五割増しでよく見えて少々嫉妬した。私もこういうアルバム作ろうかな、、と思って、一番のお気に入り スウェーデンのスーパー「ELDORADO」を・・・
・・・検索して大ショック。

ちがう。大胆で無邪気だったおてんば娘が 色気づいて普通の女子になってしまってた。。

I’m always sad about the fact that non-japanese green tea is always flavored with a weird sweetness. But this ST. DALFOUR, which I couldn’t resist buying just because of it’s design and the Greek, turned out to be positively new for me. It tastes purely bitter but smells strawberry-ish, as if my tongue and nose start working separately. interesting…

ジャケ買いしたストロベリーフレーバー付きグリーンティが、（私史上）初めて”余計じゃない”フレーバーで驚いた。味はたしかにピュアな苦味の緑茶なのに 香りにだけ甘さがあって、鼻と舌が別人になったような、つながらなくて混乱するような、不思議な感じが悪くなくてビックリ。

　

そして
ガラクタ市で掘り出した 狂ったプレッツェル屋のカップをさりげなく自慢・・・ついでにググってみたら＜Bäcker-Innung Berlin＞ベルリンのパン屋さんの同業者組合？へべれけな熊がプレッツェル背負って踊ってるロゴ、つけて真面目に活動してる素敵団体発見。

I made a diaper cake (..last year before Christmas!) for a surprise Baby Shower party.

もう昨年のクリスマス前のことだけど、おむつケーキを作った。サプライズのベイビーシャワー。

苦労したのは、、輪ゴム探し。大体が太めで伸びが悪くて濁ったミックスベジタブルみたいな色。。日本のような細くて柔らかくて切れにくい輪ゴムは大変な貴重品である。
（こういう「意外と無い物」の発見って楽しい。）

おむつケーキ自体は基本的に巻くだけ至って簡単で、リアルケーキに自信の無い人には断然おすすめ。トップは３つの玉に、両親のKristinaとTomでＫとＴ、ベイビーの＆をスタンプした。

TomがKristinaをクリスマスマーケットに連れ出している間に彼女の友達が飾り付け。おむつをぶら下げてメッセージ書いたり（さすがの防水加工でマジックを弾き大変書きづらい）、並べたおむつに10種類くらい、MilkaとかRitter Sportとかのチョコレートを砕いて入れた「チョコの銘柄当て」等（ルックス的にブラックな冗談としか思えなかったけど・・）（みんな脅威の正解率！）。本当にサプライズしてそれが歓喜に変わっていく彼女の顔、よかった。

・・・という思い出ケーキを、先日、「サイズ３のおむつサイズに成長したEDENくん」のために解体したのでした。

… and recently we broke the cake for Eden, now big enough to use “Größe 3″ diaper.
