Finding lovely private label brands at local supermarkets.
This is one of my favorite things to do when I travel. In Germany, I’d say I like “Ja!” by REWE, although not all of them, but the ones for household items with more simple design. like this matchbox in the center.
This “Ja!” was featured in japanese design magazine [Casa BRUTUS]. Looks cheerful, ja? Maybe I should also make an alubum of my extreme favorite PLB, from swedish supermarket “ELDORADO”…
He likes the number 3 and the triangle shape and オタオメ!is a short version of “Happy Birthday” in Katakana, Japanese. As a whole it looks like a warning sign?
I’m always sad about the fact that non-japanese green tea is always flavored with a weird sweetness. But this ST. DALFOUR, which I couldn’t resist buying just because of it’s design and the Greek, turned out to be positively new for me. It tastes purely bitter but smells strawberry-ish, as if my tongue and nose start working separately. interesting…
We took a night stroll somewhere around Anafiotika, on the small, winding path between the houses. The path was so narrow that we could no longer walk next to each other and I could hear somebody in a house talking like right next to me.
And we saw more cats than people.
